Hello, I’m Samantha

I’m a mother, activist, and campaigner fighting to harness technology in building a fairer future.

With your support, I want to become the next Member of Parliament for South Derbyshire and deliver opportunity for everyone, bringing hope for the future back again.

Security means everything to me. The safety of knowing you have enough money in your pocket; enough food in your stomach; and a safe roof over your head; and the opportunity to have and then fulfil aspiration.

It’s what I want for everyone. It’s what drives my political activism.

Here are some of the issues that most concern and inspire me:

South Derbyshire’s motto is, “the earth, our wealth” and it defines our proud heritage.

It serves as a reminder that without this earth, we have nothing, no future to prepare for the next generation.

So we must prioritise the green agenda and commit to a low carbon and digital economy by 2030, taking action locally to play our part in achieving that goal.

The Green Agenda

Young People

As a mum to a teenage daughter, I feel particularly passionate about engaging with young people. Helping them see that politics isn’t something that just happens to them, but that they can drive positive change themselves. Be a part of it.

I will make it a priority to connect with young people from Stenson Fields to Swadlincote so they feel their voices are being heard and they’re inspired to get involved and help shape their future.

As the fourth industrial revolution comes upon us, we must harness technological development for the benefit of everyone.

We must exploit the capabilities and opportunities it brings and ensure we are giving people the skills needed for the jobs of the future.

Technology presents opportunities to save our planet, support teachers in the classroom, deliver better health outcomes in our NHS.

To deliver these, and more, we need a Labour government that uses strong regulation in a way that both supports tech innovation whilst always putting people first.
